Da Pianezze alle Orsere: le Prealpi ricche di storia

Our itinerary starts in Pianezze, on the Prealps above Valdobbiadene.

A gravel road takes us to the beginning of a paved road, once walked by farmers carrying down the mountain forage and timber using “musse”, wooden sleds, which for years have been the only mode of transport.

Two rows of beech trees lead us to meadows, where in spring beautiful flowerings can be admired. Soon the walk takes us to Balcon, a stunning view point on the other Prealps, on the plain before us and the Hills of Treviso province.

From here, a steep climb crosses pastures and woods and lets us reach the highest spot of the walk. Once again the view is spectacular and if we are lucky with the weather, looking towards north we can admire the peaks of Dolomites.

We are now left with the downhill that takes us back to the starting point.
